HuffPo: A day before New York City’s unprecedented soda ban was set to begin, Reuters reports a judge has dismissed the restrictions, calling the initiative “arbitrary and capricious.” Since its inception, the controversial plan spearheaded by Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been criticized by the beverage industry and small businesses.
Another three pointer for fat people! As a Libertarian, I hate Bloomberg and his laws. He thinks he’s the king of New York. On the other hand, America’s got an obesity problem and we’re all paying for it via Obamacare. So lately I’ve been sort of supporting Bloomberg’s soda ban. I don’t want to have to pay for all the fats in the country and their damned high cholesterol and heart disease. You’ve got the right to be fat, yes. But my right to not have to pay extra to accommodate your fat ass supersedes that. The solution? Either ban fat people, or get rid of Obamacare. Either works.
Until Obamacare is dismantled, my war against the fats continues.
