I think it is time for a sarcastic slow clap. The kinda clap you could only hear in an 80’s movie….where one guy starts the clap real slow…..and then everyone else starts to join in until it is an all out cheer.
I am all for curing cancer. I definitely don’t want to hear about kids with cancer. That is horrible. If you want to help fight a disease….donate money….donate your time…..be proactive. Don’t just “like” a picture on Facebook and think that your mouse click magically helped someone in need. It didn’t. What your mouse click did is make you FEEL like you helped. It takes a weight off of your shoulders. It makes you FEEL like you made some sort of difference because you “liked” a picture of a sick little baby that needs all sorts of organ transplants……NEWSFLASH…….you didn’t help shit. You didn’t help anyone….except yourself. You made yourself feel better. You made yourself believe that some organization will donate a dollar for every “like”. They won’t.
Unless you are going to ACTUALLY do something to help…. then just sit back and be a selfish fuck like a majority of Americans. Just say “awwww….that is horrible”….and continue eating your $13 dollar turkey sandwich and drinking your $7 latte, without clicking “share” or “like”. I am aware that these terrible things exist in the world…..BUT…..I don’t want to see them blowing up my news feed. I can turn on the 6 o’clock news and see how awful the world is…..I don’t need a constant reminder in every other post on Facebook.
If you are the fuckstick that likes to click things to feel better about yourself…..click these links and make a REAL difference. I dare you…..you won’t do it.
2.St. Jude’s Children Hospital-(this is where you can actually help give money to kid’s with cancer)
6. Disaster Relief– (Hurricane Sandy, etc.)
Do I need to put pictures of sick children next to each link to get you to click??? Do you need visual stimulation to remind you that the world sucks??? Don’t be a douche….if you get the urge to “share” or “like” a sick kid post on Facebook……just bookmark this page and come here and click our links to donate actual REAL money….I am sure you can settle for Dunkin Donuts coffee for a few days instead of Starbucks.
