CNN: Gwyneth Paltrow and Beyoncé can now claim to be the most beautiful BFFs in the world. On Wednesday, People magazine named Paltrow the World’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2013, a year after Paltrow’s pal Beyoncé held the title.
“I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me,” Paltrow told People about her reaction when she first heard she landed the top spot. “I had to reread the e-mail three times. I was like, ‘This can’t be true, I’ve developed dyslexia — I’m not reading this right.’ It’s a very iconic cover in American culture, so it’s just amazing.”
It’s not that I wouldn’t do vile things to Gwyneth Paltrow, because believe me, I would. But I wouldn’t say she’s the most beautiful woman in the world. Probably not even in the top 50. That honor belongs to either Catalina Otalvaro or Adriana Lima. If you don’t know who Catalina Otalvaro is, Google that shit, but not before you lock the door.
Few could argue that Gwyneth Paltrow is anything less than a fantastic actress. You saw Shallow Hal? She totally stole the show. She played the heavy girl role perfectly. When she cried, to be honest, I really felt bad for her. Look at that photo above and tell me that’s not a good acress.
But back to the thing about the rankings. Being that this is 2013, there’s no way that Paltrow should be at #1. She’s 40 years old. Maybe in the early 2000’s. (Skinny) Gwyneth Paltrow in Shallow Hal is probably top 20:
