ESPN: New York Jets coach Rex Ryan was voted the most overrated coach in the NFL, according to an anonymous midseason players poll conducted by Sporting News.
Of the 103 players from 27 teams who were polled, 35 voted for Ryan. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick finished second with 16 votes, while Philadelphia Eagles Andy Reid finished third with nine votes.
I’m not surprised. The three scummiest teams in the NFL are the three most overrated coaches in the NFL. The Jets are literally the least classy team in the NFL. Foot fucking, player tripping, reality show having douchebags. You know how everybody uses the word douchebag a lot now? That word perfectly describes the Jets entire organization and many of their fans.
The Jets are nothing but a circus, a media sideshow. They should just be called the “Real Housewives of MetLife Stadium.” Everything they do is completely blown up. They got to the AFC champ game twice and lost both times, so people think they’re a contender. They’re not. They’re a pretender.
It’s also funny that Ryan was voted the most overrated coach, because just recently a poll for the most overrated players was held, and Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez finished in 1st and 2nd, respectively. So this all points to one single fact. The Jets SUCK and everybody knows it except for Jets fans. J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK.
Next up on the coach’s list is of course Bellicheat, the man who literally admitted to cheating yet nobody seems to give a shit about it. Dude was filming other teams’ coaches and reading their signs. Of course Brady broke the record for TDs. Of course they went 18-0 in their first 18 games. When you know the what lay the defense is going to call it makes shit pretty fucking easy. I personally think that karma fixed the situation though, because we all remember how that Super Bowl ended. I remember “18-1” being literally spraypainted on every building in New York for a while. As great as 18-0 feels, 18-1 must have felt horrible. I can imagine than many men across New England lost a few nights sleep after that game.
And of course the most overrated sports city in general came in at number 3. Philadelphia sucks at everything. Their best team by FAR is the Flyers and they haven’t won a championship since the 70’s. The Eagles haven’t EVER won a Super Bowl. The Phillies only have TWO world series in their history despite being a team since 1883, a full 20 years older than the Yankees. The Sixers aren’t terrible, but historically are below average. See my post here on how much Philly sucks. Andy Reid deserved to be fired last year. He’s the longest-tenured coach in the NFL but still has ZERO Super Bowl wins and only one appearance. Needs to be fired.
If anyone read the whole article, Mike Shanahan of the Redskins came in fourth, which I half agree with. The problem with putting Shanahan fourth is that he’s never had any really good players or any play-makers until RGIII this year. The Redskins offense has been led by Jason Campbell, Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman, and John Beck. Aside from Santana Moss, there was not a single offensive player on the entire team worthy of a Pro Bowl appearance. On the defensive side, London Fletcher is a Hall of Famer, but I can’t think of many other players until Ryan Kerrigan that looked like they could one day be a superstar. Yes, the Redskins have sucked under Shanahan, but have they underperformed? No. I don’t think so.
PS. I realized what the top three coaches have in common besides their scumbaggy franchises. They are all tubsters. Plumpers. Fat guys. You may call it a coincidence, I say nothing’s a coincidence. You may call it prejudice, I call it the law of averages. Until Obamacare is repealed and I’m not forced to pay for other people’s healthcare, my war against the fats will continue.
