CBSSports: Diamondbacks Right-hander Ian Kennedy has been scratched from Monday’s start with a cut on his right index finger, manager Kirk Gibson told reporters on Sunday. He suffered the cut while cleaning dishes recently.
In case you’re wondering, Kennedy will earn $4.265 million this year and has banked more than $8.9 million since turning pro. No dishwasher? Really?
Dishwasher? You mean no wife? Really? Either that or no testicles. Washing dishes is a woman’s job. Dirtying them is a man’s job. That’s the way it always was, that’s the way it always will be. Especially when the man brings home $4.2 million per year literally playing a game. $4.2 million, and let’s assume he’s scheduled to make 27 starts, a pretty conservative number. That means he earns almost $158,000 per start. That’s one hundred fifty eight thousand reasons why women should be washing whatever dishes that a mechanical dishwasher can’t. It’s not rocket surgery, ladies.
