I was never a fan of scary movies. I’ll hand in another “Man Card” and admit I never liked scaring the hell out of myself. Until I was introduced to this franchise just when it was growing in popularity and was playing in select cities. I love the simple techniques they use to generate real anxiety and adrenaline filled jolts. And how genuinely interested I am in a story that’s still evolving due to the unexpected success of the first one. Is PA:4 the scariest one yet? No. PA:3 still holds the crown for most creatively scary and intriguing installment. But it still has its creepy, hold your breath, moments. This chapter seems lazy and uninspired, but has a chance of salvation if its sole purpose turns out to be leading up to the inevitable PA: 5. And stay till the very end of the credits for a scene, when translated, raises some really interesting questions on what’s to come.
